A Neutral Reminder: Meet with God

A Neutral Reminder: Meet with God

The truth is that God allows. He allows pain. He allows tragedies. He allows suffering. He allows wide-scale destruction. He allows personal losses. He allows all of this… But there’s deeper wisdom to be gained from accepting this truth. Let’s discuss…

“And he said unto me, ‘My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.’ Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”— 2 Corinthians 12:9 KJV

We endlessly search for the answer to “why?”… “Why did this happen? Why me? Why does God allow such misfortunes?” I wish I had an answer that could comfort the human condition but I don’t. I only have Biblical answers that can either be embraced or rejected. I only have answers that satisfy the soul, not the flesh…

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.”— Proverbs 3:5-7 KJV

The word fear means reverence, and it is a sign of respect and trust for God. When we are unsettled in our spirit because of pain, confusion, or doubting, we are meant to turn to Him for guidance, support, and clarification. We are meant to put our burdens on Him to carry. We are meant to allow for peace to replace the urging obligation to understand or “fix” everything.

Our torment will never cease while we are in our human forms on this earth. However, it is in our yielding to God’s divine plan that He works the best. It is here… in this moment of submission… in our human weakness… that we release our bond to the flesh and transcend into Spiritual communion with God.

Meet with Him. Talk with Him. Tell Him your concerns, fears, or longings. Boldly voice the opinions and desires in your deepest heart. Reach for Him and build that bond. Take your time… Have a seat. A coffee. A cry. A smile. Allow yourself the space to explore a unique and personal relationship with Him. Allow yourself to rest, reflect, and heal. The only one holding back is you… God has always been waiting at this table for you.

The truest words of wisdom that I could give anyone are these: You will find yourself when you reach the end of yourself, and there’s no one there but God.

With Love, Michelle
