Is New-age Spirituality Your Religion?

New-age spirituality isn’t “woo woo,” it’s very real. However, it’s definately not merely self-development, self-love, or (the worst lie of all) “health services.” It’s spiritual. It’s worship. It’s submission. It has rituals, books, and churches. It has gods, ceremonies, and tools. It’s RELIGIOUS. In fact, it’s a mash-up of multiple different religions, and a few man-made ones… Re-branded.

New-age is more of an organized religion than what the Christian Bible defines religion as, which is: caring for widows, orphans, and remaining unstained from this world. –James 1:27. I met Jesus when I was 7 years old and, even as a kid back then, I could already see the differences in following Jesus and in following man-made religion. I’m personally only religious according to the Biblical definition, not what this world has corrupted it in to. What about you?

I encourage you to learn the truth about supernatural forces and protect yourself from false teachers, “healers,” and religion disguised as self-help. There’s more than one doorway into the spiritual world and just about anyone who’s willing can be a conduit. Christians don’t discredit new-age practices as silly at ALL— we’re literally out here warning people of the dangers and risks of spiritual dabbling because it’s so real.

The devil’s goal is to redirect us away from God’s plan for our lives, but he doesn’t need to lure us into a hard rejection of God, he just needs to push us a few degrees off course… So, how can we tell if we’re on the right path or not? Here’s a checklist of red and green flags to help you on your spiritual journey:

🚩 If you feel any fear, it’s not from God. Many former witches said they would pray to God for protection before starting a ritual because they were so afraid of what they were doing.

✅ God provides feelings of safety, not fear. He will never put you in a situation where you are fearing for your life, health, or safety.

🚩 If a human being is your first GTG (go to guy/gal), you can stop right there and turn around.

✅ No one should come before God. And if you seek human council, seek it second, not first.

🚩 If a new-age practitioner is “healing” you through spiritual methods unrelated to God, you’re accessing demonic forces.

✅ Once again, there are real powers at work in this world. Those who circumvent God for supernatural power are invoking darkness, not light. Any temporary “healing” you feel from sources other than God should be rebuked. It makes me ILL when I see new-age “healers” laying their hands, word spells, and “energy work” over people. Please do not let these spiritual dabblers get anywhere near you, and definitely do not pay them money!

🚩 If your spiritual practices are having a negative impact on your waking life— your job, relationships, health, or happy participation in 3D life, it’s not from God.

✅ A relationship with God can have moments or seasons of disengagement and even solitude, but His path will never promise you spiritual fulfillment while the rest of your life is burning down around you. That’s a demonic scheme to keep you busy, alone, distracted, and heading toward ruin.

🚩 If you experience confusion, it’s not from God. The devil loves to keep us going around and around in our thoughts, trying to make sense or reason through things without ever reaching clarity.

✅ God will never confuse you. He provides clear instructions, revelations, and solutions. Your thoughts will make sense, not feel unorganized.

🚩 If you have an unsettling feeling in the pit of your stomach that something is “off,” that’s probably because something is off.

✅ God’s intuitive nudges are important, and we shouldn’t ignore them. If you feel sick in the stomach over doing something, but do it anyway, you might be ignoring a corrective intuitive nudge.

🚩 If you feel numb, drained, exhausted, irritated, or emotionally unstable after engaging in a new-age practice, you weren’t connecting to God.

✅ Authentic interactions with God lead to feelings of refreshment, lightness of being, inspiration, rejuvenation, clarity, and peace! God is fuel, not burnout.

🚩 If something conflicts with scripture, it’s not from God.

✅ God reveals Himself to all of us in different ways, but He will NEVER contradict His own Words. If you’re unsure if there’s a conflict or not, read scripture for yourself— don’t rely on social media pages, AI generated responses, or other people’s interpretations of scripture. YOU read it with your own eyes and then take your questions/concerns to God.

🚩 If it’s tempting you, it’s not from God.

✅ God doesn’t tempt us, He TESTS us. Temptations are from the devil and meant to distract us. Tests are from God and meant to mold us.
