Biblical Clarity on Psalm 23:5-6, and How it Relates to Self-Worth
๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ป๐ผ๐ฎ: “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.โโPsalm 23:5-6
๐ฃ๐ป๐ช๐ท๐ผ๐ต๐ช๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ธ๐ท: God blesses those who seek Him and will serve us Himself… right in front of the others! But are we there with Jesus, building that intimate relationship where we’re allowing Him to overflow our cup of abundance? Look at the other sheep in the pasture in the photo below; they are also walking with God, which is great, but one sheep has separated from the herd to meet with Jesus alone. In these special moments, we can talk to our Father about our fears, needs, requests, and anything that is on our hearts, as well as position ourselves to receive.
๐๐น๐น๐ต๐ฒ๐ฌ๐ช๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ธ๐ท: The Lord prepares a table of blessings before us for our lives, and satanโs goal is to trick us into believing that we are unworthy to eat from this table. Did you know that the Bible instructs us to receive? โFor everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, for it is made holy by the word of God and prayer.โ โ1 Timothy 4:4-5. You see, if the enemy can get us to refuse a blessing from the Most High, that is the ultimate act of low self-worth. If we stand before a fountain of blessings, and we donโt take the cup and fill it up, we are accepting less than what God says we are indeed worthy of!
๐๐ฌ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฝ๐: Donโt miss out on the blessings that God wants to give you in your life! Begin to separate yourself from the noise of others, social media, television, or any other distractions and make some quiet time to meet with God. Share your heart with Him and make your requests genuinely known. Don’t allow the evil in this world to steal what the Lord has prepared for you! Stand up and speak affirmations over your worthiness to receive, and watch as God moves mountains and works miracles in your life! Amen.
