Relationship, Not Religion

I’ve been desiring to network more and make new friends, but every time I meet people who are part of a spirituality-based “tribe,” I find that I just can’t get down with their practices…

Even seemingly innocent activities like intention candle making, or full moon meditations ALL have an underlying worship of some other god or deity connected to a religion that has nothing to do with the God I know and love with all my heart.

I don’t care if we’re just sitting in a circle journaling together, most of these group leaders and “rituals” have religious sub-context, and this matters a great deal!

I will always preach relationship not religion, and encourage everyone to seek the one true God on their own. When we have a relationship with the Most High, His Holy Spirit of discernment will clearly tell us when another person or organization is NOT HIM. Trust me. We will feel it in our soul that engaging with these people and practices is wrong.

Make the choice today to ask God for His intervention in your life. Ask Him for guidance on discerning which friends and groups will support your highest good. Ask Him to reveal the correct path for you!

Discernment is not a human ability, rather a supernatural power that is done through us and for us by the Holy Spirit.

As we allow the Lord to guide us, His voice (our intuition) becomes more and more clear. Circumstances that we once described as a “gut feeling,” will be experienced more like a resounding “Yes” or “No.” If you’re still building your relationship with God and aren’t sure which mentors to follow, just test them and see who feels right for you…
