The Shape of True Love

Men leave impressions on women…

On the heart, in the mind, and on the body.

Some men leave bruises, while other men leave beauty…

Both will make permanent marks on her.

It’s true that a man can create a loving and safe space for his woman, but what does that look like?

Perhaps it’s as simple as the impression of his body on the edge of a made bed…

Every single day after work, coming home and listening to her tell him all about her day.

Her thoughts, accomplishments, failures… what made her laugh or cry… things she’s read, saw on TV, or ordered online.

Just listening to her day and how it was.

Not rushing her. Not looking at his phone. Not staring through her…

But intentionally sitting down, pausing, and creating space for her.

Sometimes, being present makes the deepest and most beautiful impression…

On the edge of a made bed, but more importantly…

On the heart, in the mind, and on the body.

Perhaps, to a woman, the shape of true love simply looks like her man’s presence.
