Heaven Is A Real Place
Here are three popular new age spirituality theories attempting to dethrone Jesus, disprove the Bible, and distort who God is:
1. The Garden of Eden isn’t a place, rather located in your physical heart as a concept
2. Jesus isn’t God (and/or wasn’t ever a living person), and is located in your spinal cord as “Christ consciousness”
3. Heaven isn’t a place, rather located in your nervous system as a blissful state of being
I’m writing this to address number 3, as I have previously written articles on the first 2.
God woke me up this morning and spoke to me, shattering number 3 completely. He said:
“If Heaven is merely a state of consciousness within you, then you would be there alone.”
Mind blown. There is no version of bliss in any major religion, anthropological view, or in studied science that isolates a person from community. The amount of collected research we have proving that human beings are a communal species which thrives in a shared experience is irrefutable.
If everyone is off trying to create “heaven” inside of their nervous system, we would all be ALONE. Isolated. Separated. Having independent, unshared experiences. Even if we looked at it as “coming together in the subconscious” this is still a flimsy, baseless claim that puts everyone in their own personal solitary confinement— the furthest away from serenity you could be. So, is this concept “heaven on earth?” It sounds more like hell on earth.
Even more flimsy are the “master healers” purporting this ideology. Most of them are in their 20’s and 30’s and have no formal education in anatomy, physiology, theology, physics, or any branch of therapy. I was 19 years old when I personally went down this rabbit hole of research, and God corrected me right away.
We are made in the image of an intelligent designer. The intelligence within our bodies is a reflection of God, not a means to disprove Him. All our integrated systems were built for us to experience human life while also keeping us connected to Him. Can we work on healing parts of us that are hindering this experience? Of course! But none of this disproves Jesus or God.
These “masters” claim that Jesus was only a regular man trying to teach us how to unlock the mysteries of technology within us, and that they are the same type of healer. If that’s true, then they can prove their power like Jesus did many times. It should be easy to make the blind see, to walk on water, and to raise the dead. If the Biblical Jesus and descriptions of places like Heaven are lies, then they can prove how Christ followers are less evolved in their spiritual advancements by believing He is God made flesh. Don’t worry, I won’t hold my breath…
Furthermore, if you really want to waste your time looking into all 3 of the theories I listed, be prepared to endure an under-developed, childish version of “school,” where the classes are offered with a high price tag as if they’re legitimate rather than simply someone’s opinion. They typically give their courses intellectual titles like “ascension education,” when most of the content covers super basic concepts that many adults have already mastered by… just growing up.
Yes, spoiler alert. We are no longer the 12-year-old version of ourselves; we are adults now. Everyone’s baby mind will create a perception of their identity and of the world around them based on up-bringing and other factors, but we all need to re-calibrate that perception when we get older. Those who haven’t done this yet are struggling to cope and attempting to find answers in all the wrong places.
Many of the new age “ascended masters” are just unhealed children offering their whiteboard lessons as they work through how to join the rest of us at the adult table. Unfortunately, they’re doing this by attempting to disprove decades of data and research collected by professionals across multiple fields of study. No, thanks. I’m not showing up for these lectures even if there are refreshments and free T-shirts.
Heaven is most certainly not a state of consciousness we create within ourselves because if it was, we’d all be there alone. There’s nothing Christ-like or blissful about loneliness. Believing this lie and others in new thought concepts that muddle surface level science with out-of-context scripture pulls us miles away from God, from Jesus, and from our correct path in this life. The ultimate source of peace, rest, and bliss isn’t secret knowledge found in a bodily system, it’s accessed through a relationship with the One who made the body.
Do you know who else is alone and isolated from the Kingdom of God?
The most manipulative, narcissistic, hateful enemy of God, who is forever cast out and jealous that humans get to spend eternity in the real Heaven…
Satan.
Let that sink in for a moment.
The truth is that it only takes one authentic experience with Jesus to realize that none of us are Him. That “god within” complex is born from the devil, not of God. In fact, it was this exact ideology that got him exiled from the real Heaven! New agers call this “ascension” while Christ followers call this damnation.
My favorite thing to say aloud in prayer is, “On earth as it is in Heaven.” Because even though satan is the prince of this world, he is banned from that sacred place, and I love reminding him of that! Personally, I use my time here to bring Heaven down through my interactions with others, my community efforts to spread the Gospel, and by dismantling false prophets who propagate lies about God. If you’d rather let the devil drag you into his lonely pit of despair with him, that’s your choice.
There is only one path to God, and that is through Jesus. Once you meet Him, it will all make sense.
